The Karl-Georg-Haldenwang-School in Leonberg was founded by pastor Karl Georg Haldenwang in 1835, as the first school in Germany for handicapped children.
The tasks include individual support of children and young people with severe learning disabilities or a mental handicap.
The focus of the work is an oriented education with the skills and learning requirements of each individual student, with the aim of preparing them for a life as independent as possible as an adult. In addition to the various school projects and activities, exercise and sport are also important in the further development of the students.
In March 2011 the Karl-Georg-Haldenwang School opened a branch. This houses the vocational preparation facility of the school (vocational school level) with 58 students between 15-20 years. A wood and metal workshop, the school garden, the utility area and the school canteen are available.
A cooperation with approx. 60 companies enables the students an internship as well as a professional integration.
Fashy has become active and has been involved in the social sector for the Karl-Georg-Haldenwang-School in Leonberg since 2006. We support swimming lessons with our products and make a financial contribution to further training measures for the staff.
